Please read these terms and conditions carefully before using the LetPool platform. They contain important information regarding your legal rights, remedies, and obligations.
1. Introduction
Welcome to LetPool. LetPool is a private, company-based carpool platform designed to facilitate commuting between employees. By accessing or using the LetPool platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
2. User Eligibility and Account Registration
To use LetPool, you must be a verified employee or a company-approved user. Registration requires a valid, official company email address. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it accurate. Your gender selection is fixed upon registration and must be truthful, as it may be used for matching preferences within your organization.
3. Role of the Platform
LetPool acts solely as a technology platform that facilitates connections between coworkers seeking to share rides. We do not provide transportation services, nor do we function as a transportation carrier. LetPool is not responsible for the actual rides, the behavior of users, vehicle safety, or any agreements made between users.
4. User Responsibilities and Conduct
You are solely responsible for your own safety, communications, and any payment arrangements made with other users. While using LetPool, you must behave respectfully, adhere to all applicable traffic laws, and follow your company's internal policies. You must not use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in any way that interrupts, damages, or impairs the service.
5. Ride Arrangements and Payment Disclaimer
LetPool does not manage, guarantee, or dispatch any rides. We do not process, secure, or facilitate payments between users. Any financial arrangements (such as sharing gas or toll costs) are strictly between the Ride Host (Driver) and the Coworker (Passenger). Any disputes regarding rides or payments must be resolved directly between the involved users.
6. Safety and Zero-Tolerance Policy
We enforce a strict zero-tolerance policy for harassment, discrimination, misconduct, or misuse of the platform. Any violation of these standards will result in immediate suspension or permanent removal from the platform. Your employing company may also be notified and has the authority to control or revoke your access.
7. Company Administrative Controls
Companies participating in the LetPool network retain administrative authority over their employee roster on the platform. They may approve or reject users, add or remove employees, and monitor aggregate platform usage to ensure compliance with corporate policies.
8. Account Suspension and Termination
LetPool reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to suspend or terminate your account and restrict your access to the platform at any time, with or without notice, for any violation of these terms, suspected fraudulent activity, or behavior that compromises the safety of the LetPool community.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LetPool and its affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to injuries, accidents, property damage, disputes, or financial losses that may occur before, during, or after rides arranged through the platform. You use the platform entirely at your own risk.
10. Privacy and Data Protection
Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of your personal information in connection with the platform are outlined in our Privacy Policy. By using LetPool, you consent to the data practices described in that policy.
11. Modifications to Terms
LetPool reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes by updating the date at the top of these terms or by other means. Your continued use of the platform after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
